Rugby team leaving for Doha today

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Nepali rugby team is leaving for Doha, Qatar on Tuesday to compete in the Asian Rugby Sevens Trophy to be held there on March 3 and 4.

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Nepali rugby team is leaving for Doha, Qatar on Tuesday to compete in the Asian Rugby Sevens Trophy to be held there on March 3 and 4.



The 15-member Nepali team consists of 12 players and three officials. Nabin Giri is the captain of Team Nepal and Krishna Chhetri is vice captain.



The tournament will feature 11 Asian counties.



Gopal Chhetri is team manager, Hari Tamang coach and Dhruba Upreti is physiotherapist. Upreti will also participate in the level one physio training to be held in Doha.



National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista bade farewell to the team on Monday.
