Ruling alliance decides allocations of CMs in seven provinces

KATHMANDU, April 2: The ruling alliance, comprising four major political parties, has finalized the allocation of Chief Minister (CM) posts for all seven provinces in the country.

KATHMANDU, April 2: The ruling alliance, comprising four major political parties, has finalized the allocation of Chief Minister (CM) posts for all seven provinces in the country.


According to sources, a meeting held between the key leaders of the alliance - Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of CPN-UML  KP Sharma Oli, Health Minister and Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Upendra Yadav and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal - reached a consensus.

According to the agreement, CPN (Maoist Center) will assume leadership in Bagmati and Lumbini Provinces, while CPN-UML will take charge in Gandaki, Karnali, and Koshi Provinces.


Furthermore, the Nagarik Unmukti Party and CPN (Unified Socialist) will lead the government in Sudurpaschim Province alternately, while the Madhesh Provincial government will be headed by JSP.
