KATHMANDU, June 22: A secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party began at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar on Saturday afternoon.
The meeting is likely to resolve the disputed issue of finalizing criterion for district in-charges and deputy district in-charges of the party, according to a source at the NCP secretariat.
"The meeting may also finalize the party's political document which is going to be published soon," the source said.

NCP chair duo K P Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and senior leaders of the party are attending the meeting.
However, the meeting is unlikely to resolve the disputed issue of naming party central committee members and heads of party organization committees, the source added. Following serious differences among the party's senior leaders over assigning responsibilities to the party leaders, the NCP had postponed the secretariat meeting until Prime Minister Oli's return from Europe.
The meeting is taking place at a time when souring relations between the two chiefs of the party were surfaced over various national political issues. Leaders of the NCP loyal to Dahal have been opposing various decisions of the government including the announcement of vacancies for local units, the introduction of the controversial Guthi Bill and the federal budget.
