The RM has already produced a question bank for basic and secondary schools by inviting academicians. "Now, we have invited specialists from the District Education Office to assess the questions. From Mangsir 23, the RM will carry out its own examinations in the schools within its vicinity."

While the RM will run the examinations, respective schools will check the answer sheets. There will also be provisions for re-examination in primary and secondary levels. The Education Committee and Rural Monitoring Board will monitor the examinations. The question papers will be in dual language -- both English and Nepali.

Based on the results of the examination, the RM plans to adopt strict measures to improve the quality of education in the schools. "The Singha Durbar has reached villages. We're using the right to improve education quality," Nabaraj Neupane, chairperson of Tatopani RM said.

Neupane added that rather than parrot learning, they needed practical education. He also urged parents and well-wishers of quality education to play a proactive role to monitor schools and its education quality. There are 28 schools in the RM.
