Sah becomes first woman mayor in Province No. 2

RAUTAHAT, Sept 22: CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Rina Kumari Sah has been elected mayor at Maulapur Municipality of the district. Sah was elected mayor by securing 3,912 votes.

RAUTAHAT, Sept 22: CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Rina Kumari Sah has been elected mayor at Maulapur Municipality of the district. Sah was elected mayor by securing 3,912 votes. 


Her closest contender Birendra Patel of Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal achieved 2,208 votes. 

Sah is the first woman mayor elected in the third round of the local polls in Province No-2.

Similarly, Maoist Centre’s candidate Gauri Shankar Jaiswal was elected the deputy mayor of the municipality.
