Sajha Yatayat to operate electric microbuses, invites tender for 25 microbuses

KATHMANDU, June 10: Sajha Yatayat is planning to purchase electric microbuses and scooters. The company invited tenders for purchasing 25 electric microbuses and five electric scooters on Monday.

KATHMANDU, June 10: Sajha Yatayat is planning to purchase electric microbuses and scooters. The company invited tenders for purchasing 25 electric microbuses and five electric scooters on Monday.


The interested sellers can apply within a month to participate in the tender. As the tender will be granted through bidding process, the applicants should deposit Rs 3 million for the electric microbuses and Rs 30,000 for the electric scooters. The prescribed minimum cost price for both electric microbuses and scooters has been set at Rs 150 million.

The company said that the tender will be opened on July 10 at 1PM.


Additionally, Sajha Yatayat, which has been operating big buses, will now operate electric microbuses as well. It is reported that these microbuses will be operated in the nearby route such as Kathmandu-Sindhuli, Kathmandu-Ramechhap and Sindupalchowk.


Sajha Yatayat is planning to operate 15 electric microbuses in routes within the valley and 10 electric microbuses outside the valley.
