Samsung unveils Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5

KATHMANDU, Aug 14: Samsung has unveiled Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 in the Nepali market through their grand unpacked event conducted at Prive Nepal, The Soaltee Kathmandu on Aug 13, 2023.


According to a statement issued by the company, these phones were revealed by Sung June Park, vice-president, Samsung Electronics, Pranaya Ratna Sthapit, director, Samsung Nepal and Priyanka Rani Joshi, Miss Nepal 2022. During the event, the various features of the new Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 such as Pocketability, Cover screen, Flex mode, Large Screen, Immersive viewing, Cover screen selfie and IPX8 were showcased by the models in the fashion runway.

Both models of the Smartphone are equipped with a shock dispersion layer and a redesigned back for a more solid display. Along with IPX8 support, Armor Aluminum frames, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 applied to both the Flex Window and back cover, Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 provide the protection consumers expect, enhanced further by Flex Hinge. This new integrated hinge module features a dual rail structure, diffusing external impacts. These innovations have also been purposefully designed for optimized longevity. Each device comes with five years of security updates and four generations of OS upgrades, according to the statement.


The Galaxy Z Flip5 is available in Mint Green, Lavender and Graphite. The model comes in a single variant (8+256GB) and is priced at Rs 139,999 while Galaxy Z Fold5 is available in Phantom Black and Icy Blue and comes in two storage variations of 256GB and 512GB, both versions with 12GB memory. The Galaxy Z Fold5 (12+256GB) is priced at Rs 226,999 and the Galaxy Z Fold5 (12+512GB) is priced at Rs 239,999.


Moreover, the company has facilitated Insta Finance powered by HFL, consumers can own the all new foldables at 0 percent interest rate EMI starting from Rs 7,000 which is available from 200 plus Samsung Insta Finance Outlets across the nation including 22 Samsung Experience Stores. There is also an exchange facility if consumers want to upgrade their device. The old device valuation will be discounted while paying for the all new Foldables. Samsung is also providing one time breakage insurance in association with NLG Insurance and one time protective film replacement within a year for free.
