Sandeep Lamichhane and Sompal Kami take one wicket each in ICC World Cup League-2 triangular ODI series

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Sandeep Lamichhane and Sompal Kami has taken two wickets (one wicket each) against Namibia in the ICC World League-2 triangular ODI (One Day Internationals) series. Sandeep Lamichhane took the second wicket for Nepal. He took the wicket in the second ball of his first over. Lamichhane became emotional after taking the wicket. Sompal Kami gave Nepal their first success in the third over.

Sandeep Lamichhane took the second wicket for Nepal. He took the wicket in the second ball of his first over. Lamichhane became emotional after taking the wicket. Sompal Kami gave Nepal their first success in the third over.


After Nepal won the toss and chose to field at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Namibia, who batted, lost 2 wickets and scored 50 runs at the end of 13 overs.

Lamichhane, who came in to bowl in the 11th over, took his wicket in his second ball. Lamichhane bowled Karl Brikenstock off the second ball. Lamichhane gave only 1 run in the 12th over. Lamichhane conceded just 3 runs in his first over and took one wicket.


Sandeep Lamichhane joined the Nepali team after about 5 months. Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) suspended Lamichhane after he was accused of raping a minor. However, his suspension was lifted by CAN before the case was settled.
