KATHMANDU, May 18: Nepali spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is to play against the captain of Chennai Super Kings Banglore, Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the 52nd match on ongoing Indian Premier League at Delhi on Friday.

Nepal spinner Lamichhane impressed Delhi on his dream debut bowling against Royal Challengers Banglore's and even opened the bowling today.

Sandeep Lamichhane, Junior Dala and Abhishek Sharma made their IPL debuts in the previous game against Royal Challengers.

A formidable Chennai Super Kings will be aiming to tie up loose ends ahead of the play-offs when they take on a listless Delhi Daredevils in a rare dead rubber of the Indian Premier League on Friday.

With CSK comfortably qualifying for the play-offs, the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led squad is eyeing the top spot on the points table alongside Sunrisers Hyderabad, whom they defeated comprehensively in their previous game.

CSK will get to fine tune their game against Daredevils, a team which has been below par yet again. Getting the legendary Ricky Ponting on board as coach and a change in captaincy in the middle of the tournament too has not helped the struggling side.

Daredevils should be alive to Dhoni's lack of fluency against legspinners this season. Lamichhane and Amit Mishra, therefore, are good options to bowl the bulk of the middle overs, particularly when one of these two is at the crease.

Team

Delhi Daredevils: 1 Prithvi Shaw, 2 Jason Roy/Colin Munro, 3 Shreyas Iyer (capt), 4 Rishabh Pant (wk), 5 Abhishek Sharma, 6 Vijay Shankar, 7 Liam Plunkett/ Junior Dala, 8 Amit Mishra, 9 Sandeep Lamichhane, 10 Trent Boult, 11 Shahbaz Nadeem

Chennai Super Kings: 1 Shane Watson, 2 Ambati Rayudu, 3 Suresh Raina, 4 MS Dhoni (capt & wk), 5 Sam Billings, 6 Ravindra Jadeja, 7 Dwayne Bravo, 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Karn Sharma, 10 Deepak Chahar/ Shardul Thakur, 11 Lungi Ngidi
