Saurya Airlines plane crash: 15 dead bodies collected from crash site

KATHMANDU, July 24: At least 15 people have died in a plane crash at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Wednesday morning.

KATHMANDU, July 24: At least 15 people have died in a plane crash at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Wednesday morning.


The firefighters and security personnel who reached the accident site have recovered as many as 15 bodies from the crash site.

The Saurya Airlines aircraft that met with the accident was en route to Pokhara for repairs. Sources indicate that there were 19 people on board, including the crew members.


Among the passengers were at least 11 aircraft maintenance engineers. Captain Manish Shakya was safely rescued from the crash site.


There were also two co-pilots on board, but their condition has not yet been disclosed.
