SC order eases citizens to receive services

KATHMANDU, Dec 19 : The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued an order that the literate citizens can fill up form on their own while receiving services from land reform office and land revenue office.

KATHMANDU, Dec 19 : The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued an order that the literate citizens can fill up form on their own while receiving services from land reform office and land revenue office.


A divisional bench of Chief Justice Om Prakash Mishra and justice Tanka Bahadur Moktan issued an order that the literate citizens can fill up forms required in course of receiving services from land related offices in line with the policy of Land Reform Ministry.

In response to a writ petition filed by Krishna Prasad Dahal on behalf of Nepal Lekhapadhi Kaanoon Byabasai Sangh, the apex court issued the decision to abide by the ministry policy. Dahal in his writ petition demanded that the legal practitioners (pleaders) involved in filling up forms and other related works should be allowed to continue their form fill-up services to clients in course of the works related to land survey and revenue.


Earlier too, the apex court had issued an interim order in favour of the policy brought out by the Ministry of Land Reforms. Earlier, the pleader was mandated to fill up forms on behalf of clients while receiving land related services from land revenue offices. RSS
