A joint bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Sushila Karki and Justice Gobinda Kumar Upadhyay, on Monday, decided to nullify the petition, according to court Assistant Spokesperson Bishwaraj Poudel.

They were arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on the charge of possessing fake academic certificates. They challenged the arrest at the apex court, claiming it was unlawful and intended.

Ram Kumar Pradhan, Binita Pandey, Saroj Ghimire, Pannalal Patel, Mohammed Ruhullah and Shreeram Ghimire are among those who challenged their detention at the court.
