SC rejects Kedar Karki’s petition against Koshi Province govt

KATHMANDU, June 25: The Supreme Court (SC) has rejected the petition filed by former Chief Minister (CM) Kedar Karki against the Koshi Provincial Government.

KATHMANDU, June 25: The Supreme Court (SC) has rejected the petition filed by former Chief Minister (CM) Kedar Karki against the Koshi Provincial Government.

A full bench of SC justices Kumar Regmi, Abdul Aziz Musalman, and Nahakul Subedi dismissed the petition following the final hearing on Tuesday.


Had the SC ruled in favor of the petition, Kedar Karki could have returned as the chief minister.


However, with the dismissal of the petition, the current CM Hikmat Bahadur Karki will remain in office.
