Seat allocation among ruling alliance will be decided by tomorrow: Dahal

SURKHET, Sept 2: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that seat allocation among the ruling alliance parties for the upcoming elections will be decided by Saturday.

SURKHET, Sept 2: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that seat allocation among the ruling alliance parties for the upcoming elections will be decided by Saturday.


Dahal said that along with the distribution of seats, the issue of the leadership of the province will also be decided altogether. “It has been delayed because it has to be decided who will get which province along with the distribution of seats," said Dahal at a press conference held in Birendranagar on Friday. "All these matters will be decided by Saturday."

He said that where one party got the ticket of the House of Representatives, the other party was given the Provincial Assembly ticket. "We have prepared criteria as to let one party have a presence in federal and another party taking the province," he said, "We expect that the result will be good if another party is given a place even where it can win alone."


Dahal said that there is no problem among the coalition parties. "We are focused on how to make the alliance more effective," he said, "Learning from the local level elections, we will make the alliance effective by not having any problems."


He further said that he will contest the November 20 parliamentary elections from Chitwan constituency no. 3.
