Sebon asks Nepse to run stock market on Friday instead of Sunday, maintaining the five-day-a-week schedule

KATHMANDU, May 7: The Securities Board of Nepal (Sebon) has directed Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) to run the secondary market from Monday to Friday every week, citing the two-day weekend announced by the government.

KATHMANDU, May 7: The Securities Board of Nepal (Sebon) has directed Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) to run the secondary market from Monday to Friday every week, citing the two-day weekend announced by the government.

According to Sebon Chairman Ramesh Hamal, they have asked Nepse to operate the secondary market on Fridays, instead of Sundays. The government has decided to implement two public holidays - on Saturday and Sunday - every week, with effect from May 15.
