Security seminar of Province-3 begins in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Nov 20: A security seminar of chiefs of security bodies of the districts in province no 3 has begun at the Home Ministry from Monday.

KATHMANDU, Nov 20: A security seminar of chiefs of security bodies of the districts in Province no 3 has begun at the Home Ministry from Monday. 


The security seminar is organized with an objective of making security system effective in view of upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies. 


Chief District officers, chiefs of Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and National Investigation Department of these districts of province-3, are participating in the seminar.

Dolakha, Ramechhap, Sindhuli, Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchok, Makawanpur, Chitwan, Dhading, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts are in the province. 


On the occasion, Chief of Security Coordination Division under the Home Ministry, Narayan Prasad Sharma, said that the security bodies have moved ahead in a planned manner along with effective coordination to make the upcoming elections a success. 


Discussion would be held on various matters including security challenges and problems to be surfaced during elections and measures to resolve them. 


Home Secretary Mohan Krishna Sapkota, Chief of General Staff of NA Purna Chandra Thapa, Inspector General of Police Prakash Aryal, Inspector General of Armed Police Force Singha Bahadur Shrestha, Chief Director of National Investigation Department Dilip Regmi and high ranking officials of Defense and Home Ministries are participating the seminar.
