GANDAKI, August 15: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has arrived in Pokhara today. She arrived on a Buddha Air flight and is scheduled to attend different program scheduled for Tuesday.
Gandaki Province Chief Prithvi Man Gurung, Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel and other high-ranking government officers welcomed President Bhandari at the VVIP Longue of Pokhara Airport. President Bhandari is staying at Hotel Pokhara Grande located at Birauta of Pokhara.

President Bhandari is scheduled to visit the Bindyabasini Temple at 8:30AM on Tuesday and participate in diamond jubilee celebrations of Bindyabasini Secondary School, Batulechour, according to Chief District Officer of Kaski, Jay Narayan Acharya.
President Bhandari will also participate in the Trahote festival at Tamu Dhi at 1:00 PM on Tuesday and fly back to Kathmandu on the same day.
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in Pokhara in view of the visit of President Bhandari.
