SEE exam begins from today (with photos)

KATHMANDU, March 28: This year's Secondary Education Examination (SEE) commenced today. The exam will run till April 9.

KATHMANDU, March 28: This year's Secondary Education Examination (SEE) commenced today. The exam will run till April 9.


On the first day of the exam, examinees are sitting for the compulsory English subject examination. The exam began at 8AM and will conclude at 11AM.

A total of 504,414 examinees have registered for the exam. This includes 250,772 female students, 253,627 male students and 15 students from sexual and gender minority backgrounds from 10,806 both public and private schools. The examination is being conducted across 2,064 designated examination centers nationwide.


Students are required to obtain a minimum of 35 percent in theory and 40 percent in practical exams starting this year. This differs from the previous SEE exams, which had a provision for scoring 35 percent in both theoretical and practical examinations.


It's essential for students to achieve at least 35 percent marks to secure admission in class 11. Those who fall short will have the opportunity to sit for supplementary exams.
