Senior journalist Sharma passes away at age of 63

KATHMANDU, March 12: Senior journalist Susheel Sharma passed away while undergoing treatment at a Kathmandu-based hospital on Friday. He was 63.

KATHMANDU, March 12: Senior journalist Susheel Sharma passed away while undergoing treatment at a Kathmandu-based hospital on Friday. He was 63.


Family sources said Sharma was suffering from pancreatic cancer for a long time. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Om Hospital in Chabahil, according to the hospital administration.

Sharma worked as a broadcast journalist with the BBC Nepali service for over 15 years. He resigned from the post in November 2011.


Sharma is survived by wife and a son. Preparations are underway to perform his last rites at Pashupati Aryaghat today itself.
