KANCHANPUR, May 2: Police have arrested a senior vice-chairperson of All Nepal Teachers Organisation Association, Kanchanpur, close to Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led group, Bibek Prasad Lamsal.

Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Deputy Superintendent of Police Gyan Bahadur Bista, said that Lamsal was arrested on the charge of threatening people for extortion. Lamsal was arrested from Hattibazaar area of Kanchanpur and further investigation into the case was underway.
