JANAKPURDHAM, Nov 15: Mahottari police have arrested seven people who were spreading propaganda against the election. Superintendent of Police Krishna Pangeni said that they were arrested from Balawa-7, Banouta Tole of Mahottari on charges of being involved in anti-election activities.
According to the police, six people including Birendra Yadav, Rajeshwar Yadav and other central members of CPN (Maoist Revolutionary) Party led by Mohan Vaidya and the driver of a vehicle were arrested.
Parties campaigning in villages
According to the police, anti-election pamphlets and miking materials and the Tata Sumo vehicle with the number plate- Ja1 Cha 1171 used by them were also seized by the police.
According to the police, the arrested persons are being kept in the district police office, Mahottari, and further investigation is being carried out.
