7 including Deja Vu operators held for canceling 'Marshmello Live In Nepal' (with video)

KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Metropolitan Crime Division (MPCD) on Thursday arrested seven people – five staffers of Club Deja Vu and two of organizing committee - on the alleged charge of swindling people by not organizing a live performance “Marshmello Live In Nepal”.

KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Metropolitan Crime Division (MPCD) on Thursday arrested seven people – five staffers of Club Deja Vu and two of organizing committee - on the alleged charge of swindling people by not organizing a live performance “Marshmello Live In Nepal”.


According to DSP Prajit KC of MPCD, they have arrested Prabesh Shrestha, Mahesh Khadka, Prithu Baskota, Milan Shrestha, Bishal Dangi and organizers Ritesh Marwadi and Rajiv Maharjan for swindling fans and audience by selling tickets and not organizing the event as promised.

Fans and audience were outraged and indulged in vandalism when the emcee announced in the wee hours of Thursday saying that International artiste Marshmello was unable to perform due to health reasons.


KTM Live Entertainment and 61 Live Pvt. Ltd. had scheduled a live concert ‘Marshmello Live In Nepal’ at Déjà Vu at Durbar Marg in the capital for Wednesday night.


MPCD said it is investigating the case after taking 'fraudsters' under control.


Marshmello had come to Nepal to give live performance but failed to make it due to 'health problems'. According to Club Déjà vu, he had stayed at Hotel Dwarika.


Meanwhile,  artiste Marshmello has apologized for canceling his live performance through his official Twitter and Instagram accounts.
