KATHMANDU, Nov 10: Shaurya Cement Industries Limited has announced ‘Shaurya Mithila Folk Painting Competition 2080 BS’ with a focus on Madhesh province as part of its corporate social responsibility. Female categories above 16 years of age from Madhesh province can participate in this competition.


The competition is divided into three stages, making it an inclusive and engaging experience for all participants. In the initial stage, participants are invited to share their detailed information and a scanned copy of one of their paintings, according to a press statement issued by the company.

To enter the competition, participants can easily access the submission form by scanning the QR code provided on the company's website and Facebook page. The form can be filled out online or downloaded for completion, ensuring all necessary details are included. An additional submission option is available via WhatsApp at +977-9802335585. The deadline for form submissions is November 24, 2080.


Following the initial round of submissions, 75 artists will be selected to advance to the second stage. In this stage, participants will be challenged to create a captivating Mithila painting on canvas, focusing on a theme specified by Shaurya Cement Industries Ltd. This stage of the competition will take place at the company's own facilities.


The final stage of the competition will showcase the top 15 artists selected from the second stage. In this phase, participants will be tasked with creating a remarkable Mithila painting directly on the walls of Shaurya Cement Industry. A distinguished panel of judges will evaluate the artworks, and prizes will be awarded accordingly.


The prizes for this competition include Rs 75,000 for the first-place winner, Rs 50,000 for the second-place winner, and Rs 25,000 for the third-place winner, with 12 additional consolation prizes of Rs 5,000 each.
