Short Film Competition ‘NNTV Shorts’ is set to be organized by Nepal Network Television. The slogan of the Competition is ‘My Story, My Cinema’.

During the press conference held on Tuesday, it has been informed that the interested candidate can apply for the competition by contacting the Nepal Network Television company along with their story script.


CEO of Nepal Network Television, Dinesh DC said, “NNTC Shorts program has been set off to entertain the public with Nepali short films as well as to encourage new filmmakers.” He further added that interested personnel can also send the story script via the online site.


The submission date of the script has started from July 7 and the deadline of the submission is September 10.The program will premiere on September 17 through Nepal Network Television. The winner of the competition will get a prize amount of Rs 5 Lakh. Similarly, the one winning second position will get 1 Lakh 50 thousand and the one holding third position will get 50 thousand.


Moreover, the best ten will be given a certificate along with Rs 10,000 in cash, according to the television. The winners will be announced on October 18. The best five short filmmakers of the program will be given the opportunity to work on priority basis in the films to be produced by DR Movies and the Tele films to be produced by Nepal Network Television.
