Shree Airlines starting Pokhara flights from Friday

KATHMANDU, Feb 4: Shree Airlines is starting scheduled flights to Pokhara from Friday. The private carrier has announced introductory fares of Rs 2,000 on Kathmandu-Pokhara sector and Rs 2,600 on Pokhara-Kathmandu. "These are our launching fares which might change according to demand and supply situation,” Anil Manandhar, corporate manager at Shree Airlines, said. “Rather than competing on price, we are determined to provide quality service to our valued passengers,” he added.

The private carrier has announced introductory fares of Rs 2,000 on Kathmandu-Pokhara sector and Rs 2,600 on Pokhara-Kathmandu. Shree Airlines operated test flight to Pokhara on January 20. 


"We have plans to operate five flights a day in the initial phase,” he said, adding that flight frequency can change depending on market demand.

The airline use 80-seater Dash 8 Q400 aircraft on Kathmandu-Pokhara sector. 


Shree Airlines started operating scheduled flights to Janakpur from Janakpur 15. It has fixed fare for Janakpur sector at Rs 2,000 per person.


With the operation of Shree Airlines' flight to Pokhara, passengers will have a wide range of options to choose from. It is planning to launch flight to Simara in the near future.


Talking to Republica, Manandhar said that the focus of Shree Airlines is on providing excellent service to passengers.


Shree Airlines currently operates scheduled flights to Bhairahawa, Biratnagar, Bhadrapur, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Rajbiraj and Janakpur. 


It operates a fleet of two Bombardier CRJ 200s and CRJ 700s each, and two Dash 8-Q400 aircraft. Similarly, in rotary wings, it has a fleet of six MI 17/MI 8 and two AS 350 B3e helicopters.
