Defending the paltry score of 129 runs Lamichhane was introduced early by skipper Lasith Malinga dismissing the West Indian batsman Andre Fletcher in his second maiden-wicket of the tournament. He clean bowled the right handed opening batsman from the delivery which turned the other way. He is the only bowler to do so twice in the tournament. He picked up Chadwick Walton in his first maiden-wicket in the last match against Vancouver Knights. The pitch has been on slower side as the tournament has progressed. Lamichhane rightly putting the deliveries on the right areas has helped him recover from the first match horrors to two back to back good bowling performances for the struggling Tigers.

Australian pace bowler Peter Siddle registered a 4-wicket-haul to set up the match for Tigers after fellow countrymen Moises Henriques’ smashed his first fifty score of the tournament batting in the first innings.

Tigers will play last match of the tournament against Toronto Nationals on Monday.
