Sita Air leaves passengers flown to Kathmandu stranded in Nepalgunj

KATHMANDU, April 3: It has been found that Sita Airlines dropped passengers who had booked tickets to Kathmandu from Dang in Nepalgunj.

KATHMANDU, April 3: It has been found that Sita Airlines dropped passengers who had booked tickets to Kathmandu from Dang in Nepalgunj. 


According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), such an incident took place on March 29. Sita Air was carrying passengers coming from Dang to Kathmandu on that day but the aircraft left those passengers at Nepalgunj and flew elsewhere.

The CAAN has also informed that the investigation process has been initiated as the incident drew serious attention of the civil aviation regulatory body.


"Sita Air Pvt Ltd, which was supposed to take passengers from Dang to Kathmandu, had left them in Nepalgunj on March 29. The aircraft had then flown to other sectors. The authority has taken serious notice of this and the investigation process has been carried forward in this regard," the authority said in the statement.
