Six gamblers held with Rs 3.3 million in Surkhet

SURKHET, Feb 1: Surkhet Police has arrested six gamblers along with Rs 3.3 million in cash there on Wednesday night. 


Those arrested are Gyanendra Bahadur Bishwolarma of Birendranagar-1, Tika Oli and Gyanendra Nepali ofBirendranagar-3, Durga Prasad Sapkota, Bhadra bahadur Chhetri and Sabir Miya of Birendranagar-6.

A team from the District Police Office arrested them from a house of Bhandra Bahadur Chhetri, ex-Assistant Sub-Inspector of Nepal Police, at a time when they were gambling there, said Chief at the District Police Office, Superintendent of Police, Uma Prasad Chaturbedi. 


Police confiscated Rs 649,560 and four cheques amounting to Rs 2.675 million from the gambling site. RSS
