KATHMANDU, July 30: CPN-Maoist Center leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said that there is slim chance for forming a government of national consensus.
Addressing the 11th general assembly and 8th general convention of Gorkha Society Service Center Kathmandu here today, leader Shrestha reiterated the need of unity among political parties in the implementation of the constitution as was shown in promulgating the national charter. "We should strive to forge consensus among the parties on agenda if it is not possible in government formation", Shrestha noted.
He went on saying that the major challenge before the nation is to complete the constitution implementation, election to federal, provincial and local elections, backlog of peace process and post-earthquake reconstruction and to steer the country to the pathway to development.
Nepali Congress central member Chinkaji Shrestha said there was the qualitative presence of Gorkha in the changes taking place in the country.
Shrestha, also Chief Whip of NC in the House, spoke of the need for wider publicity of Nepal's glorious place Gorkha.
