Organized by Radio Nagarik 96.5, Brand Nepal promotes Nepali brands and their products. On 18th December 2021, Brand Nepal Go Local is coming up with its third edition where one can meet various leading Nepali brands with unique and variety of products to choose from. These brands are not only manufacturing products but are engaged in philanthropic work as well. Moreover, here is a list of various Nepali brands that are working toward the betterment of society as well, sharing their enthusiasm in participating in Brand Nepal this year

Moreover, here is a list of various Nepali brands that are working toward the betterment of society as well, sharing their enthusiasm in participating in Brand Nepal this year.


SABAH Nepal

SABAH Nepal (SAARC Business Association for Home-Based Workers Nepal) is a community-based social-business organization that works towards strengthening the livelihoods of financially deprived and marginalized excluded and vulnerable women of Nepal. Owned and operated by home-based worker members, SABAH Nepal manages its own business unit and value chain in the sector of food, agro products, craft and textile, tourism, digitalization ensuring its direct presence in the formal market and linking the products and services of women entrepreneurs in the national and global supply chain. In the process of empowering women's entrepreneurial capacity, SABAH Nepal has promoted 378 individual women-owned business units and 23 collective businesses owned and led by women groups.

The main motive of the SABAH business unit is to:


•Provide a platform for home-based workers to own, manage, operate, and market skills and products, enabling collective marketing.

•Develop knowledge and skills of home-based workers to enable the production of high-quality marketable goods and services.

•Optimally utilize available natural resources and indigenous skills for conversion into innovative products.

•Streamline the supply chain by strengthening the backward and forward linkages.

•Build institutional linkages and form alliances for furthering the objectives of the organization.

•Build a model for women empowerment by enabling them to become self-reliant through sustainable livelihood.


What is your expectation from this year’s Brand Nepal event?

We are expecting our brand to gain more exposure from this year’s Brand Nepal in terms of our work and products and hope to reach more consumers to sell our goods along with the stories that each carries.


What can one expect, while at your stall in Brand Nepal?

We are planning to showcase our new collection of kids knitwear made of merino wool which is high-grade wool one can find in the market alongside some handloom Dhaka and Allo accessories. We are also planning to give a small gift with each purchase at our stall.


Pawsome

Pawsome is an online store where they sell pet products like pet bandanas, pet outfits,s and more. They proudly are Nepal's first pet bandana store. Established with the motive of helping Street animals where 10 percent of profit is dedicated to them. Their main vision on starting paw-some is not just to earn profit but help street fur babies. So every product they sell, there is an emotional connection and motive.


What inspired you to run your business?

We are animal lovers, we always have a soft corner for them. Starting Pawsome is not just to earn profit but help street fur babies. So every product we sell there is an emotional connection and motive. And we also love to see adorable fur babies flaunting our product.


What are your challenges in your business?

As it is a small business and there is less manpower, sometimes it gets difficult to complete big orders. Our customer wants us to deliver the order ASAP and we basically deliver our orders after 1-2 days. We try our best to deliver the products when they want it because customer satisfaction is our main motive.


What is your expectation from this year’s Brand Nepal event?

This is our first time participating in Brand Nepal we are looking forward to making new friends and reaching out to more people.
