KATHMANDU, July 12: A meeting of the Socialist Front summoned for today has been uncertain with the demise of CPN (Maoist Center) leader Sita Dahal, the spouse of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
The party's adviser and the wife of Maoist Center Chairperson and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal passed away this morning following the complications from Parkinson's she had been suffering from for years.
Earlier, the meeting was summoned at the central office of CPN (Unified Socialist) for 4:00PM today, according to the party’s Vice-chair Rajendra Pandey.

In the meeting, the Front, consisting of four political parties, was expected to discuss contemporary political scenario, preparations for its programs targeted at all provinces and a proposal prepared by a task force comprising CPN (Maoist Center) General Secretary Dev Gurung, Unified Socialist leader Pramesh Hamal, Janata Samajbadi leader Rajendra Shrestha and Communist Party of Nepal's leader Khadka Bahadur Bishwokarma.
The very first meeting of the Front held on July 8 had decided to organize its programs in each province in a bid to make the people aware of the 'essence of its presence'.
The formation of the Front was announced on June 19 and it has been agreed to lead the Front on a rotational basis among four political parties.
