KATHMANDU, May 19: The Sohanlal-Rampyari Devi Foundation has announced to provide Rs 22.4 million to four different government hospitals for the prevention and control of corona infection and treatment of the infected.
Chairman of the Foundation Shankar Lal Agrawal informed about the support through a press release issued on Monday. According to the statement, the foundation will provide financial assistance of Rs 11.1 million to Koshi Hospital, Rs 5.1 million to Bheri Hospital, Rs 4.1 million to Seti Provincial Hospital and Rs 2.1 million to Mahakali Hospital.

“The second wave of the COVID pandemic has affected Nepal and the world. At this hour of crisis, there is a need for the entire country and the general public to work and cooperate according to their ability to ensure that the infected are treated well in our country as well,” the statement read.
"Considering this need, the Sohanlal-Rampyari Devi Foundation, established in the name of our parents, has decided to assist in this endeavor," the statement said. "Accordingly, the foundation has decided to provide Rs 22.4 million to four government hospitals involved in the treatment of COVID patients."
The foundation has decided to provide financial assistance to four government hospitals to help in the treatment of COVID patients at a time when people are dying without treatment due to lack of beds, oxygen, ventilators and medicines in the hospitals.
