Souls of my city: A man of commitment and hard work

KATHMANDU, Dec 27:  “I am an IA (Intermediate in Arts similar to +2 level) graduate. After completing my degree, I did not want to work in private organizations. Sadly, I could not make it to government job either. Maybe I didn’t try hard enough.

KATHMANDU, Dec 27:  “I am an IA (Intermediate in Arts similar to +2 level) graduate. After completing my degree, I did not want to work in private organizations. Sadly, I could not make it to government job either. Maybe I didn’t try hard enough.


I first, started working as a badge-maker at different shops. After working for five years, I started my own business of badge making. It has been 15 years since I started my shop in Phyphal. I have a shop in Bhadrakali too,” said Dhan Raj Shrestha, 48 who owns the badge shop.  Dhan Raj lives in Thulo Bharyang with his wife and a son.

Explaining the meaning of life he shared, “Work is worship. No work is big or small. Rather than regretting on things we couldn’t achieve, we should cherish what we have at our disposal. Work and struggle will fetch you good fortune.”
