28-year-old Rabin Sibanjar is a civil engineer by profession. But when it comes to participating in cultural events, he has always been keen on contributing his part. He says, “As you grow older, various responsibilities fall upon you. I have a professional career, which is essential in helping make my living. On the other hand, there’s my culture that represents who I am.” This year, during the seven-day-long Gai Jatra festival, Sibanjar portrayed the role of Mahisasur in the Mahakali Naach. He has been in role the recital since he was seven years.
