LUMBINI, Dec 16: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has said that the government should enable the environment for the young generation to stay in the country by identifying and mobilizing their latent talents.

Lately, a collective feeling has gradually developed among the youths to return home and take some initiatives, he said, urding the government to effectively design and deliver measures to check brain drain of youths.

Inaugurating the 50th National Convention of Nepal Jaycees (JCI Nepal) in Butwal on Friday, Speaker Ghimire said some of the campaigns of the Jaycees are even more effective than that of the politics.

He also highlighted the urgency of formulating youth-friendly policy, laws and plans. "Nepal's parliament is committed to formulate laws in favor of youths", he said, adding, "The prevailing frustration among the youths should be put to an end through devising appropriate policies".

He also laid emphasis on further mobilizing the norms and values of Jaycees.

Also speaking on the occasion, Butwal sub-metropolis mayor Khelraj Pandey said the Jaycees conclave in Butwal has imparted a message to the country.

The national convention began with the slogan 'capable youths, better country: enabling environment, foundation for good governance'. As many as 1,246 delegates from 178 branches of Nepal Jaycees are participating in the conclave.
