KATHMANDU, June 11: The government has constituted State-level tourism promotion committees in view of the Nepal Visit Year-2020.
Chief Minister of the respective state is the patron of the committee to be headed by ministers for industry; tourism; forest and environment. The committees were formed as per the decision of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation which has been looked after by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli since the demise of then Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari last February.
Liu’s message: Room for improvement in relations
The committee will work for the promotion of tourism year, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation said in a press statement. The secretary of industry, tourism, forest; and environment ministry of the respective State has been appointed as the member-secretary on the committee which will induct representatives from the private tourism industry as State program coordinators and members.
The government has announced the Visit Nepal Year -2020 with a view to bringing in at least two million tourists by the year 2020 AD and develop the country into a quality touristic destination in the world by the time.
