Sudurpaschim Province govt unveils budget of Rs 31.62 billion for upcoming FY

SUDURPASCHIM, June 16: The Sudurpaschim Province Government has brought a new budget of Rs 31.62 billion for the upcoming fiscal year 2024/025.


At a meeting of the province assembly on Saturday, Economic Affairs Minister Surendra Bahadur Pal unveiled the new budget allocating Rs 11.72 billion for current expenditure and Rs 17.53 billion for capital expenditure.

Likewise, Rs 2.92 billion has been allocated for intergovernmental fiscal transfer and Rs 100 million for fiscal management. 


Of the allocated budget, 35 percent is under the headings of current expenditure, 55.42 percent for capital expenditure, 9.25 percent for fiscal transfer and the remaining 0.31 percent is for fiscal management.


The province government has targeted to collect Rs 1.6 billion in internal revenue and almost Rs 10 billion from revenue distribution. Likewise, the province government has expected to receive Rs 8.72 billion from fiscal equalization, Rs 6.15 billion from the savings of the current fiscal year, Rs 3.13 billion in conditional grants to be received from the federal government and Rs 1.42 billion to be received in grants under the federal complementary while Rs 556 million as special grant.
