Sudurpaschim Province: Newly-appointed CM and Ministers take oath of office and secrecy

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: The newly-appointed Chief Minister and Ministers have taken the oath of office and secrecy in Sudurpaschim Province.

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: The newly-appointed Chief Minister and Ministers have taken the oath of office and secrecy in Sudurpaschim Province. 


Province Chief Najir Mia administered the oath to the newly-appointed Chief Minister, Kamal Bahadur Shah, and other ministers. With this, Shah, who was appointed CM on Sunday with the support of the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress (NC), became the Chief Minister for the second time.

The newly-appointed ministers include Meghraj Khadka as the Minister for Social Development, Bahadur Singh Thapa as the Minister for Economic Affairs, Surendra Bahadur Pal as the Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Hira Sarki as the Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Bir Bahadur Thapa as the Minister for Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives, and Lakshman Kishor Chaudhary as the Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest, and Environment. All have taken the oath of office and secrecy.


Additionally, Saraswati Khadka as the Minister of State for Social Development, Prakash Bahadur Bam as the Minister of State for Economic Affairs, and Nirmala Devi Saud as the Minister of State for Physical Infrastructure Development have also taken the oath of office and secrecy.


The Chief Minister, Ministers, and State Ministers are expected to assume their offices today.
