Authorities decide not to immediately shut down Melamchi water...
Asserting that drinking water would be his foremost priority, Prajapati, in his election campaigns, had emphasized distributing the drinking water from the Melamchi Water Project in the municipality within the second week of Jestha.
The residents of Bhaktapur were joyous after the drinking water reached their houses. The locals of Khauma, Itachhe, Bolachhe, and Toumadi, who had been experiencing problems in accessing drinking water for the last 20 years, expressed their gratitude towards Prajapati. However, pipes of several places in the municipality began bursting after the distribution of the drinking water. The locals have asked for an immediate resolution to this.
