SYANGJA, May 8: Bhirkot Municipality of the district has come up with a noble idea to attract pregnant women into a regular health check-up providing an egg each a day to the pregnant women who visit a health post on a regular basis.

"This aims to encourage pregnant women into a regular health check-up. It also helps fulfil requirements of balanced diet for pregnant women," said the Municipality mayor Chhaya Ram Khanal.
A pregnant woman is required to undergo a health check-up from three-month pregnancy.
"Pregnant women can undergo a health check-up at their convenient health institution within the municipality. We will provide an egg each for them when they approach us with a health check-up card," said Khanal.(RSS)
