Tamang, Dhami into quarters

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: Nepali pair of Ratnajit Tamang and Dipesh Dhami has advanced to the quarterfinals of the ongoing Yonex Sunrise Bangladesh International Challenge on Wednesday. The pair defeated Bangladesh’s Parash Mohammed Ahsun Habib and Gourab Singha 22-10, 21-18 to reach the last eight in the men’s doubles.

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: Nepali pair of Ratnajit Tamang and Dipesh Dhami has advanced to the quarterfinals of the ongoing Yonex Sunrise Bangladesh International Challenge on Wednesday. The pair defeated Bangladesh’s Parash Mohammed Ahsun Habib and Gourab Singha 22-10, 21-18 to reach the last eight in the men’s doubles.

Likewise, in mixed doubles, the Nepali pair of Dhami and Amita Giri also reached the last eight defeating Bangladesh’s Al Amin Zumar and Bristi Khatun 21-14, 21-18. Meanwhile, in the men’s singles, Tamang faced a 21-12, 21-12 set defeat at the hands of Malaysia’s Zulhelmi Zulkiffli in the second round. In the women’s doubles, Nangsal Devi Tamang and Giri reached the quarterfinals by walkover from Mauritius players.
