NAWALPARASI, June 12: A teacher has drowned while swimming in Arunkhola in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).


According to Santosh Pathak, District Police Office Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta East) Information Officer, Krishna Subedi, 30, a resident of Pragati Nagar, Devchuli Municipality-15, drowned while swimming in Arunkhola, Madhyabindu Municipality-14 Batasa.

The deceased Subedi was a teacher of Janata Secondary School located in Madhyabindu Municipality-10. After extreme heat, seven teachers of the school along with Subedi had gone to the river to swim to beat the heat.


Additionally, the body of one of the two people who went missing after drowning in the Kaligandaki River in Keladi, Gaindakot Municipality-3 of the district was found last Saturday. Information Officer Pathak said that the body of Suraj Subedi (Sharma) of Chitwan Ratnanagar Municipality-10 Janajagruti Tol, who went missing after drowning in the river, has been found.


According to the police, the search for Ramesh Chalise, 25, of Shilanyas Chowk, Gaindakot Municipality-2, who went missing after drowning in the river, is ongoing.
