KATHMANDU, Feb 18: The third edition of tech-exhibit Mantra: Chanting of Technology concluded at the Pokhara City Hall in Pokhara this week on a high note.
Innovative Ghar Nepal (ING Nepal) and USART had jointly organized the exhibition in the Lake City from February 9 with the slogan 'Nepal Bancha Jaba Nepal Mai Bancha'.
More than 12,000 visitors visited the week-long event that showcased a wide array of latest technological innovations in the fields of design, manufacturing, fabrication and construction among others, said Bikrant Karki, chairperson of ING Nepal.
Among the 20 different instruments displayed during the event, the Robotic Lake Sweeper remained one of the major highlights that were designed by the robotics engineers of ING Nepal keeping in mind the pollution in lakes around the country, according to the organizers.

Similarly, devices such as 3D printer, medical drone, robots, and glider planes were also displayed during the expo.
“Such innovations make us believe that Nepal is also capable of manufacturing competitive products,” a statement issued by the organizers quoted Sirojit Rana, a local teacher, as saying.
According to the organizers, they also experimented for the first time the Robotic Street Sweeper that is used to sweep the streets with minimal human intervention.
Besides raising the eyebrows of the locals with the home-made technological innovations, the organizers also offered the audiences musical and theatrical delight with live musical performances by various artists and bands such as Zero Circle, Lahure and other local bands as Deplore.
The first edition of Mantra was organized in Kathmandu in October 2017 and the second in Biratnagar in January this year.
The organizers said they aim to take this tech-based fair across the country bringing together organizations, companies, tech enthusiast, entrepreneurs and professionals involved in various fields of technology, art and design.
“The major agenda of this edition of Mantra is how to make the best use of available technology and resources to maintain an ecological balance and to coordinate art and technology,” shared Chairperson Karki.
