PARBAT, Oct 4: An unmarried teenage mother of Falebas Municipality-10, Parbat has been sent to judicial custody after throwing her newborn into a stream.
The seventeen-year-old girl of Kurgha has been jailed along with her lover Man Bahadur Malla. A single bench of Judge Surya Bahadur Thapa ordered police to keep the girl and her lover in judicial custody.

While the girl will be sent to Child Care Center, Bhaktapur due to her young age, Malla be kept under custody at Parbat Jail. The girl had delivered the baby at her home on September 3 and later threw her in a nearby stream.
Acting on a tip off, police reached the site two days later and arrested the girl. While recording her statement, the girl opened up about her relationship with Malla. According to her, she decided to throw the baby after her lover refused to accept her.
