Thai Lion begins Kathmandu flights

KATHMANDU, Aug 2: Thai Lion Air, a Thailand-based carrier, has launched its scheduled flights on Bangkok-Kathmandu sector. According to a statement issued by the airline, it will fly three times a week to Kathmandu, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

KATHMANDU, Aug 2: Thai Lion Air, a Thailand-based carrier, has launched its scheduled flights on Bangkok-Kathmandu sector. According to a statement issued by the airline, it will fly three times a week to Kathmandu, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The inaugural flight landed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (TIA) on Wednesday. The company said in the statement that it was hopeful that the new flight will bring more tourists from Thailand to Nepal. Thai Lion is currently operating 12 domestic flights, two cross-region flights and more than 20 international flights, according to the statement.
