‘Thank you mom’

These three words will never be enough

Neither enough to sum up your love

Nor for giving me my world

When there was a storm

You didn’t just show me the clouds

You also showed me the rainbow

And at night

You taught me to see the stars within the dark

For always greeting me with a smile and a warm hug

And always making me feel loved.

A world without you seems like an empty world

No sun, no stars, no river and no life

You are my strong Hercules

My kind nurse

My fearless superwoman

And my amazing mother.

My first memories of you

Your twinkling eyes

And your pulled back hair

Laughing and playing alongside me

The doctor’s severed the chord that connected us

Not even the sharpest knife can carve the bond between our hearts

And as I grew up

You lightened the world for me

And without you

Perhaps I would still be stumbling in the darkness

You’ve made me believe that angels aren’t all fiction

Because I have my angel – you.

‘Good people burn themselves up just to give others light’

So thank you mom for being that candle

Thank you

For everything.
