THE DARK ONE

Poem
By Akanksha Budha

They said she was an angel,

Good and pure from every angle.

Spreading brightness everywhere,

saving souls from despair.

What they didn’t know was that this was just an act,

to not let them know the actual fact.

That she who was called the epitome of goodness,

was in fact only filled with hatred and bitterness.

For she had her soul already sold,

and had become so heartless and cold.

She was the fallen angel with her wicked schemes.

She feasted on the innocent’s bloody screams,

for she was the dark one.

Dressed in white,

Satan’s favorite pawn,

who was destined to be alone.

But before that she was a knight,

who shined oh so bright.

That was when she was pure,

then she was ultimately lured into the darkness.
