Shrestha also said that 189 women have acquired land ownership and received a waiver of registration fee of Rs 987,390.

According to Chhekyal Tamang, an employee of the office, most of the women are expected to acquire land ownership in a few years time as it is found that even the husbands are happy to come to the office to get the land ownership registration passed in the name of their wife due to the exemption in registration fee.
