Yuvraj Poudel filed a writ petition on Wednesday demanding the cancellation of Lamichhane's position as a member of the House of Representatives.

Responding to this, he mentioned that he had submitted the original copy of the American passport to the court on May 23 as it was with him.

In the previous case, Lamichhane was ordered to submit a certificate proving that he had renounced his American citizenship.

Lamichhane has said that the decision of the Supreme Court on January 27 confirmed the fact in cases no. 22, 28 and 32 that he had already renounced him American citizenship.
