There is a need to revise national security policy: PM Deuba

KATHMANDU, March 16: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has stressed the need to further revise the national security policy.

KATHMANDU, March 16: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has stressed the need to further revise the national security policy.


Speaking at a program organized on the occasion of the 21st National Security Council Secretariat, Prime Minister Deuba said that the government has also implemented security policy, defense policy, and other policies.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Deuba said that the government has prepared an integrated action plan for the national security policy and its effectiveness in this area and sent it to the concerned ministries and agencies for implementation. 


Prime Minister Deuba also said that it is necessary to make the national security policy and defense policy more robust and successful by effectively implementing the national security policy. 


Stating that the Secretariat of the National Security Council has been given the responsibility to monitor the progress of the integrated action plan, Prime Minister Deuba said that the secretariat is expected to make a significant contribution in the implementation of the national security policy by fulfilling its responsibility with priority.
